Amazon Great Indian Festival 2018: Here’s what to Expect

Amazon is all set with its flagship annual sale which will kick off on September 21. Amazon will be holding Great Indian festive sale 2017 from september 21-24. For Amazon Prime members the sale will start on September 20 at 12 noon.

This time Amazon is taking its rival Flipkart head on by announcing its sale on the same day. While Amazon’s festive sale begins on September 21, Prime members get an early access on September 20. The company launched prime in July 2016 at annual price of Rs. 499.

Earlier this month, Amazon India launched its largest warehouse at Jamalpur. Until last year, the company had 27 warehouses across the country with a total capacity of 7 million cubic feet. With the launch of new warehouse, the e-commerce platform has nearly doubled its warehouse capacity at 13 million cubic feet. During the festive season, a lot depends on how fast these firms are able to fulfill shipments.

Recently, the company also announced expansion of its delivery network with over 350 service partner nodes, a 40% increase from the last year. Last year, Amazon had around 250 service partner nodes across the country. In latest expansion, it has covered Leh-Ladakh, Lakshadweep and some parts of North East India.

Amazon Great India Festive Sale Blockbuster offers:

The discounts will be available across various categories such as smartphones, laptops, apparel, accessories, washing machines, refrigerators & more. Customers will be able to avail 500 + offers on smartphones across brands such as OnePlus, Xiaomi, Lenovo, iPhone, LG, Samsung, Motorola, Honor & more. Customers also get discounts between 50-60% on mobile accessories such as cases, covers, storage devices, power banks, headphones, & speakers.

The e-commerce company’s own products that are sold under Amazon Basics brand name will get 60% discount during the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale. Laptops get a price cut up to 20 percent with brands such as Sony, Dell, HP, Acer, and others.

The focus will be more on fashion with up to 70% OFF on clothing, shoes, and accessories. To get alerts when top deals go live during the festive sale, customers can download Amazon assistant.

Amazon Sale Cashback offers

Customers can avail 10% additional cashback using HDFC bank and credit cards. There is extra discount for users on Amazon Pay Balance. The e-commerce major has made available no cost EMI option on various products on sale.

Amazon App Jackpot Contest

All the shopping fun is also on the Amazon’s Mobile app. There is a new reason to shop on the go with the Amazon App Jackpot offer. The company has announced prizes worth over Rs. 2 lakhs for the app users. Amazon App Jackpot will begin on September 13th, 2017 at 12:00:01 a.m. and end on October 31st, 2017 at 11:59:59 p.m. The contest includes prizes such as apple Ipad Air 2, OnePlus 5, Moto G5s Plus, Sony PS4 (1TB), Fitbit Blaze smartwatch, Panasonic (43″) LED smart TV, or a Seagate (5TB) hard disk.

Homegrown e-commerce major, Flipkart is hosting its Big Billion Days Sale from September 20. The festive season clash between Amazon and Flipkart is expected to be interesting. As customers prepare for the festive season, e-commerce players are geared up to serve them blockbuster deals across all major product categories. Another rival, Paytm Maal is also expected to begin its festive sale on the same dates as per the industry insiders.
