I think everyone is aware about What is the use of PAN card, specially after demonetization. So, you have to apply for new PAN card online in case you have not yet applied for that. But in case you have lost your PAN card or your PAN card is old enough, then how to get a duplicate PAN card online?

Now a days applying a PAN card online is very simple and it takes very less money as well. Generally in case of PAN card only the 10 digit number is enough but in some cases we can use the card as a photo identity proof also. Due to many reason we have to renew or reprint PAN card. How to get New PAN Card if Lost or Damaged ?

Step 1: First of all you have to visit the official website of PAN card correction here or Online Application for Request for New PAN Card Or/ And Changes Or Correction in PAN Data (PAN Change Request Form).

Step 2: Read the details on that page carefully. Scroll down the bottom of that page and there you will find Apply for Changes Or Correction in PAN Data (for DSC users). Choose the option as individual if you are a salaried person. There are other options available, choose accordingly and click on submit button.

Step 3:  A form will open where you have to fill up your personal details providing the existing PAN card details mandatory. Be careful while filling up your communication address, personal details to avoid any mistake.

Step 4: Although Aadhaar card is mandatory for new PAN car application, but in that form it still show as optional. In case you have Aadhaar card, then better link your Aadhaar with PAN.

Step 5: Finally choose the payment method and complete the payment online.

Step 6: After successful payment, take a printout of the form submitted and also take the xerox copies of the below mentioned mandatory documents. Then you have to affix two recent colour photographs with white background (size 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm) in the space provided on the acknowledgement.

Step 7: The acknowledgement duly signed, affixed with photograph (in case of ‘Individuals’) alongwith demand draft, if any, proof of existing PAN, proof of identity, address & date of birth(applicable for Individual & Karta of HUF) as specified in the application along with any other relevant proof as specified (in Item No.IV – Documents to be submitted along with the application ) is to be sent to NSDL at

  • Pune – 411016′

In some case for the online pan card rectification application, you might want to change some data of your PAN card like address, name or spelling etc. In that case also you have to go for PAN card renewal. Use the official PAN Card Renewal website to get a new PAN card online. Read all the instructions carefully and provide necessary information.

PAN Card Reissue Charges / Fees

If communication Address is within India the fee for processing PAN application is 107.00 ( 93.00 + 15.00% service tax).

If communication Address is outside India, the fee for processing PAN application is 994.00[ (Application fee 93.00 + Dispatch Charges 771.00) + 15.00% service tax]. In this case payment can be made only by way of Credit Card / Debit card and Demand Draft payable at Mumbai.

Documents required for PAN card Renewal

After filling the online form you have to take the print out of that and then submit the form to PAN card authorized address with the documents below:

  • Proof of PAN: Provide a copy of your PAN card or the PAN allotment letter
  • Proof of PAN(s) Surrendered: Provide a copy of your PAN card or the PAN allotment letter
  • Proof of identity: School Leaving Certificate/ Matriculation Certificate/ Degree of Recognized Educational Institution/ Depository Account Statement/ Valid Credit Card/ Bank Account Statement/ Water Bill/ Ration Card/ Property Tax Assessment Order/ passport/ Voter’s Identity Card/ Driving License
  • Proof of address: Any one of the above having present address details (Where you want to receive the PAN card)

Note: Before submitting the form cross check carefully whether you have submitted all the information as per your requirement. In case you want to change address details then you have to fill certain areas and if you want to get a fresh new card then you may have to fill these details. And attach a color photograph of the size 2.5 cm X 3.5 cm only.
