Saina Nehwal took this sport to next level in our country and now badminton superstar Saina Nehwal is world’s No. 1 women badminton player. The new rankings were released on Thursday and Saina raised as new World no 1 badminton players leaving behind China, who was on top from December 2010. After 35 years Indian Badminton saw the day again when an Indian reached the top rank of Badminton sport. Before that in 1980 Prakash Padukone became the top ranker after winning the Danish Open, Swedish Open and All England Championship. Although last few years were not great for her, but she managed to fight back and showed her ability again. In 2010 years back she conquered the 2nd spot and it took around 4 years to become no 1 badminton player in the world.
